Honey Bears Child Care And Learning Center
Honey Bears is more than a childcare and learning center. Honey Bears is a gateway to the next phase of life for thousands of young children across the Charleston, SC area. Conveniently located between Goose Creek and Summerville, Honey Bears has served as a launching pad for the development of Lowcountry children since March 2009.
Curriculum
Our curriculum includes purposeful planning based on the age & stage of your child and developmentally appropriate hands-on activities.
Nutritious Meals
Children in our care receive healthy, nutritionally balanced meals every day, with consideration of any dietary or cultural needs.
Least Restrictive
All children interact with other children regardless of their abilities in a safe environment.
Passionate Caretakers For Children Up To 5
Our caregivers meet all DSS regulations and come to work with several decades of combined experience in childcare. We care for, nourish, and develop the skills of children from infancy to age five. From beginning literacy to social skills, our team of passionate childcare experts is instrumental in all phases of child development. Every member of our staff sees what we do not as work, but as our duty to engage and challenge children to help them grow, and thus provide our society’s next generation with everything they need to begin their next phase of education.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is a dedication to helping children grow and develop to their full potential, according to their own special interest, learning style, and personality.

Why Choose Honey Bears ChildCare & Learning Center?
Safety First
Honey Bears takes a variety of safety precautions to ensure that your children are able to learn, laugh, and play with their peers in a safe setting. To learn more about how Honey Bears ensures your children’s safety, please visit our Safety page.
Learning Curriculum
With a focus on the 6 developmental domains, Honey Bears bases its interactive and innovative lesson plans on the South Carolina Early Learning Standards from the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
We want our children to interact with and explore the world around them. To aid in this, we take our children ages 3-5 on field trips, and we have special guests speak to the children, including policemen, firefighters, chefs, and even the tooth fairy (a dental hygienist).
We Offer Children A Well-Balanced Nutritious Diet
Our program provides your children with the nutrients they need to power them through the day with delicious, freshly cooked meals that are prepared in-house. We feed our children a healthy diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, chicken, fish, lean meat, and whole grains.
We are also culturally and dietarily sensitive. We understand that some people are vegans or vegetarians, while other people may have severe allergies to certain foods or ingredients. We will work with you to prepare an assortment of food options that fits your child’s needs and restrictions.
Least Restrictive Environment
The Honey Bears childcare program operates in a Least Restrictive Environment, meaning that all children in our care have equal opportunities to interact with all other children regardless of their abilities. While we may work separately with special needs children on some specific skills that are important to their development, we ensure that children with differing abilities are able to engage with their peers as much as it is appropriate to do so.

We Offer Children A Well-Balanced Nutritious Diet
Some childcare facilities provide only the bare minimum when it comes to feeding their children. At Honey Bears, we see it as not only a priority but a responsibility as caretakers to feed the children in our care healthy, nourishing meals.
